Electrician Invoice Template

Download the electrician invoice template, which lets electricians formally request payments for their services. These let you list all parts used and labor performed, including detailed descriptions of what you did to make it clear to the customer and any followup suggestions you might have. Keep a copy of each invoice you make.

How to Make in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word

Step 1 – Download in Adobe PDF (.pdf) and Microsoft Word (.doc).

Step 2 – In the box at the top center, enter your company’s contact information, including name, address, phone number, and email. Enter the date of the invoice and the invoice number to the right.

Step 3 – Fill in the contact details for the customer receiving the invoice, using the organization’s name if you’re billing an organization rather than a person.

Step 4 – Enter each type of item used separately at the top of the table, with the quantity and unit (e.g., 3 rolls). to the left. Then show the amount each unit cost and multiply the quantity by the price to get the amount for the Total column.

Step 5 – To calculate labor, describe each type of service performed, enter the number of hours at the far left, the hourly rate in the Price column, and then multiply to reach the amount for each service.

Step 6 – Add each figure in the amount column and include any taxes to reach the grand total the customer owes. Include any special payment instructions as needed.

How to Make in Microsoft Excel

Step 1 – Download in Microsoft Excel (.xls).

Step 2 – At the top, insert your logo if you have one, and then enter the customer’s contact information below.

Step 3 – To the right, enter the invoice number, the customer ID number, the date of the invoice, and the date the payment for it is due.

Step 4 – For each item used or service provided, insert a description in a separate field. Include the hourly rate and number of hours so you can get the total amount due for each service. For each item, multiply the number used times the cost of each.

Step 5 – The total of the amount column will be your subtotal at the bottom right. Include any applicable tax or discount, and this will give you the grand total. Leave any notes about payment or other instructions in the field on the bottom left.
